"Dear friends and family planned this trip to honor our mother who died in June as a family. We spent many years hiking Katahdin and Baxter State Park. Our trip here was to honor her and we got to look at the great mountain every Day. Missed on the lake Sunrising to the east and absolutely beautiful area. Camp was rustic, which was just what I wanted. The outdoor shower was heavenly. Our weather was spectacular and the lake was swimming every day. We used the kayaks in the canoes went fishing. We took full advantage of the amenities of this beautiful spot with bonfires to begin our day and at the end of our day. Absolutely beautiful. Loved every bit of it. Thank you so much. every evening."

As other reviews have mentioned, I can see the issue if you have trouble with steep stairs to the bedroom, but the design of a cabin is no reason to knock down a rating, If you need handicap accessible, look for something that says it’s handicap accessible.
