The location is great and the hotel staff is welcoming. It’s more run down than advertising videos show. Housekeeping was short staffed one day but we were ok with that and just asked for a couple of towels and received it right away.
Honny and Sim at the front desk were extra helpful and wonderful in helping when our key entry needed a reboot and when we needed a taxi reserved for the airport. Super quick service!
The cafe right next door was perfect for breakfast.
The short walk to Darling Harbor was safe and easy! Our best meal was at Nick’s near the water. Went to Sea Life which is also at Darling Harbor. We also easily walked to QVB and shops, and Chinatown for a variety of Asian food.

The views from the hotel are out of this world. Whilst the rooms are snug they have everything you need with an amazing view to wake up to. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay.

The Chalet Guesthouse was a perfect place to stay for a peaceful weekend. David was very friendly & welcoming. The room & ensuite bathroom was immaculate & comfortable. It was fascinating to wander around the Chalet & look at all the artwork & artefacts. Megan & Patrick Gennari
