"A nice, clean, simple hotel with a fabulous staff! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, they made you feel at home. The breakfast and dinner were also lovely. A perfect stop before a cruise. "
"The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast (included in room price) was super quality."

"The location of the house was a short walk from the train station. The neighbourhood felt safe and clean. The house itself was well looked after and clean. Directions to find the house and get in were easy to follow. My room was spacious, airy and the bed was very comfortable. Great value for money, I would stay again! "

"Great from the start to the finish , staff to mention Bridget Jack and Adessa . So lovely to talk to and so kind if offering support . We went to meet up with friends going on a cruise , checked in beforehand and talked to Bridget who was so friendly and welcoming . We wanted to stay two nights but the hotel was fully booked for the second night so Bridget suggested another nearby so we could still meet up with our friends . The restaurant was so lovely , the food great and again the hotel staff so friendly . Although we had checked out the next day we were made to feel welcome anytime after that . Breakfast was superb ( in with the price) . There were plenty of places to explore within walking distance and people on cruises should know this hotel is a must , it’s so near the cruise port and if you have a car you can park it on the cruise port for your convenience . There were plenty of suggestions where to explore whilst we were there . If we do a cruise from Southampton in the future we will certainly return to the White star where we know we will be welcomed but next time we will book a few days before And a day after we return from the cruise there is so much to see . A big thank you to all of you at White Star we will be back !!! Ps missing you already !!"
"Stayed here prior to our cruise sailing. Walkable to terminal. We were so impressed. Lovely boutique and each room is unique and the attention to detail was superb. Delightful true Southampton feel with high end quality touches. We saw our ship from our window! The bar downstairs was cozy and dinner at the restaurant was a delicious finishing touch to our stay.
