The Reynolds Homestead, built in 1943 is in a beautiful foothill setting. Hardin Reynolds and his wife produced 16 children here, the most famous being RJ Reynolds who migrated to Winston Salem, NC to start the tobacco empire of the same name. The catalpa tree in the foreground still remains from the earliest days of the homestead.

"I'm not sure where my first review went. The picture of the rental is accurate however it does not depict a mattress that pretty much is on the floor. The floor is very wavy making you feel unsteady. The couch was also low and hard as a rock. The smith river behind the house is barely visibleThe worst part is the entry.
