"Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. A decent breakfast. Not somewhere to stay if want a resort or hotel with a gym, bars, meals, pool but a really nice place to stay in Matera that has a traditional feel to it "
