Charming Cottage
Fabulous cottage, so homely. Clearly loved and well maintained. The extra breakfast items were a real bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great wine area.

Cottage was a lovely little place though mirrors bed head could do with a clean, dead cochroachers and flys not a good look, drive way and garden over grown not good for classic cars. Tree leading to house needs cutting back .

Thanks for your feedback. The cockroaches are native outdoor ones and unfortunately they tend to come inside - we do get the underneath of the house regularly sprayed for them. Flies are also an occupational hazard. We do regular garden work and cut back where appropriate, but thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. .

Cottage had not been serviced by the time of our check-in at 2pm. The cleaner arrived soon after the owner was contacted. The issue for our group of 70+ year olds was the first step of the entry steps. Too high off the ground to go up and down. One of us misjudged it, landing heavily & strained his ankle.

Character cottage in an extremely convenient location, yet still nice and quiet. Pretty garden areas to sit and relax and a well-stocked kitchen. Very friendly host who met us on arrival. Would definitely stay at Ambrosia Cottage again.

We loved the cottage which is beautifully set up and very comfortable. It has a lovely garden and is a very short walk to the centre. Marc was really helpful and accommodating.

Amazing stay in Martinborough.
We had a very nice stay in a beautiful cottage. It had comfortable beds, a great supply of breakfast needs, walked into the square of Martinborough easily, quiet location. The second time in staying here and would love to stay again. Very quick response to checking in.

Cosy retreat
Very clean and nicely decorated cottage with all amenities. We were warm and the beds are very comfortable. For two friends from different towns who wanted to catch up and relax for a weekend it was perfect. Very close to the local shops. (And we can certainly reoommemd Ahoy for fish n chip!)

Ambrosia Winter Retreat
Our first winter rental at Ambrosia Cottage and thrilled to find the woodshed packed to the roof with dry firewood. The log burner is super effective and makes for a wonderful atmosphere. Playing CDs that correspond to to the owners framed ticket stub display is also pretty damn awesome!

The Cottage is very clean and tidy and very nicely presented. The Kitchen is fully equiped and having the wood burner is a real bonus. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice relaxing place to stay in Martinborough.

Everything we wanted and more. Comfy, cosy and well furnished - and all within easy walking distance of the town centre and many nearby vineyards. The cottage is more spacious than the photos may suggest. Highly recommended.

A wonderful cottage
We had such a brilliant time at Ambrosia Cottage. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had our 8 week old bubs with us and there was plenty of room in the bedroom for his Moses basket and the cottage was lovely and warm for him. The proximity to the square was really handy and it was a short walk to many of the vineyards also. Would highly recommend this property.

Idyllic getaway
Fabulous little cottage in the centre of martinborough. Perfect location for the cafes, restaurants and shops around martinborough square and for hiring bikes to cycle the vineyards. Marc and Philippa’s cottage was perfectly equipped, immaculately clean, and comfortable. The breakfast provisions were very much appreciated as was the quiet location. One of the best places I have stayed in! Will definitely be booking again!

God is in the details
This character cottage has all the details right. It's beautifully presented, even down to the lamps on the side table. Our family stayed (3x generations) whilst we were down for Wings over Wairapapa. The location meant we could walk every where and there were plenty of spaces to relax. Would love to come back.

Perfect Martinborough Stay
Absolutely loved our stay at Ambrosia cottage. It was cosy and clean and had everything, including the ideal location just one block from the Main St. The kitchen was also really well equipped, we took the toast rack and coffee plunger out to the deck and had breakfast in the sunny private backyard. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Perfect cosy and comfortable cottage with loads of character. The perfect holiday base that is so close to the heart of Martinborough. Great cottage - highly recommended!
This is a lovely cosy cottage - very comfortable, roomy and sunny, with a private garden and easy walking distance to The Square. We booked just for the 2 of us, after doing the Patuna Chasm walk, but there is plenty of space and amenities for two couples. We would love to stay again :)
