We spent our Christmas days in the thoughtfully styled bach of Martin and Sharon. It was very relaxing as it is just out of town. The little walk in the lush bush on the property made for a nice after-lunch stroll. An evening swim in the heated pool made it feel even more holiday like. We hadn't realised there was not stove, so cooking was the only small challenge. We had a recharging few days in Otaki and would definitely recommend a stay!
Love the quietness of the place. Nice and spacious and lovely surroundings. Accommodation had a lovely bush walk to the lake. We really enjoyed our stay away from home.
Waitohu Lodge is an immaculate, peaceful space, perfect for a rural getaway. Marty was friendly and welcoming and then left us to our own devices. Perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. While joined to the house by an annex the apartment was completely private and felt like our own space. Beautiful outlook across the large lawn to the private bush reserve. Lovely fireplace inside was perfect for our early winter getaway. We enjoyed all the thoughtful, artistic finishes in the apartment. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely place, it was incredible to stay at Waitohu lodge. Peaceful and great.
we chose this location because we wanted to be not far from Wellington and at the same time in a countryside setting.
This apartment combines well 2. It is a very good compromise.
We were about 1 hour from Wellington, less than 10 minutes from the beach.
The property is just beautiful. The bed is super comfortable.
The welcome by the host just excellent.
Great way to get away from it all with friendly hosts. Set in private park like grounds. Little extras added to a positive experience. Would defiantly recommend. Thanks Marty and Sharon
