The Falstaff Hotel

"A lovely two night stay at this great hotel so near to everything the only negative and this was my fault I asked for a high floor in this horrific heat which is what I got the only problem it was second floor do in the eaves of the building and it was extremely hot. That was the only negative but again that was my fault! Breakfast was good buffet style and then we ordered hot food from the menu. Staff were very helpful would definitely recommend if visiting Canterbury"

"Room was a good size and clean. Staff on arrival were great. Good choice of drinks at the bar and food looked good. Rooms were a bit warm considering the unusuallu hot heatwave but they had Dyson fans which helped. Nespresso coffee machine was a great touch, iron and ironing board in room. I would stay again. One frustration: Breakfast! Turned up, guy came over in seconds asked room number. Walked over to get juice, no glasses, would have got toast, no small plates, waited 10 mins then asked for service, person was cleaning a table and said someone will be over soon, few mins later the table behind us asked how long their food would, turned out their food had been forgotten so had to reorder, soon as they reordered we asked if we could order too as we were more than ready, was told they'll be over in a min, 5 later still no one...more than 25 mins of no service we walked and told the lady at reception who offered to take our order. As we left I could see 3 waiters looking at us talking, probably about us leaving, I was surprised they had the time to chat considering we waited so long to get served."

"I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The hotel’s location is excellent, overlooking the waterfront and conveniently close to the ferry terminal and town centre. The only downside was that the room was quite small, especially with luggage, but it was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool throughout my stay, which made a big difference. The highlight was undoubtedly the restaurant. Dinner exceeded my expectations, with delicious, beautifully prepared food and generous portions. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly made with care. The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The hotel staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful from check-in to departure, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Although I would have preferred a larger room, the cleanliness, comfort, excellent dining, and outstanding service more than made up for it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Dover. I would certainly stay here again."

"We came to Margate to escape a heat wave in London, so the air con was much appreciated! Beyond that, we loved the luxe bed and bedding, the updated bathroom with gorgeous shower, and the drapes which allowed us to keep out the heat. Location is perfect, in the midst of Old Town yet no traffic passing by and very quiet st night! Overall, a perfect place to stay in Margate."

"Absolutely loved this hotel and wish we could have stayed more than 1 night! Very clean and stylish throughout with lovely little extras like a record player in the room plus a pantry where you could help yourself to pick n mix and other snacks. Also an amazing roof bar with a beautiful sea view. Plenty of choice at breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will stay again!"
