"Our family of four stayed at the Yawan hotel in December 2023. It is a dated hotel, as other reviewers mentioned, but my teenagers said that it was part of the hotel’s charm. "Luminous Hot Spring Resort Taitung. A beautiful resort in the countryside, far away from any city. Beautiful landscape, spacious rooms with their own private onsen and a great buffet restaurant with local produce and dishes of aboriginal cuisine. A great place if you want calm and tranquilty. It has a spa, a hot spring outside pool, great views and beatiful lawns were you can pass the time looking at the local flora and fauna"

"Nice property, nice people. Right near train station which is good AND bad. You can literally walk there, but the area is in an undeveloped area with nothing but a 7-11 and Family Mart. You'll need some way to get to town center. I'm a biker so I just rode bicycle everywhere. Breakfast is bland as toufu. Same thing every day."
