"This property is at the far south end of the promenade. There is not an ocean view, but you are a very short walk to the beach. The cottage is really cute and comfortable except for the lumpy couch and relatively stiff mattress. It has everything you might need and is CLEAN (no shoes policy). It's all digital entry so no keys to worry about. I didn't realize it has a swimming pool and was surprised that it was open in April. "We traveled to Seaside as a family with young kids. Our initial impression wasn't great. I asked the front desk about where to go for tide pooling and they didn't know (odd to me, with it being a coastal tourist town). Our room had a bad smell too, just from age, I think. But we left the door open (screen door shut), and it aired out quickly. Typical continental breakfast without waffles in a small area. Maybe 4 small round tables? The pool was a very comfortable temperature, but cramped. 2 benches to sit on. All that to say, the location was fabulous - right on the promenade - the room was comfortable, staff was friendly and attended to our needs very quickly. We loved the cookies in the lobby every evening. I would stay there again, if we make it back to Seaside."
