"Clean throughout, host was responsive to questions, and pet friendly"

"Great location not far from Rockville and Turkey Run State Park. Clean property and appreciated it being pet friendly to bring our 18 pound Maltipoo to enjoy a short vacation! Hot tub was excellent and nice fire pit outdoors with wood provided by owners. Be careful if u have small dog as ours was able to crawl thru openings in fence next to the roadway. Thankfully we got Milo back in quickly! Communication was excellent and got to meet Tony and Lisa in person. Well equipped kitchen and nice rural setting. Would recommend! "

"The breakfast was better than a lot of free hotel breakfast and for the most part, the staff was friendly. The common areas were clean enough but our room left a bit to be desired. For example, you could see handprints in the dust above the lamp. The main issue that we had is that our room didn't get cleaned the entire 6 days that we stayed. The 3rd night, we went to the desk for clean towels. On the 5th morning we stoped by the desk on our way out to inquire why our room had not been cleaned all week. We were told that rooms are done twice weekly unless otherwise requested. We pointed out that both trash cans were full, we had a pile of dirty towels and were almost out of toilet paper. There were multiple people at the desk. They were all unapologetic but stated that our room would be done today. When we returned, one staff member stopped us and said that our room had been taken care of. When we got upstairs, we found our room almost exactly how we left it. Literally the ONLY thing that had been done is that the trash had been emptied. No clean towels, no more toilet paper, no beds changed or even just made. We were disappointed to say the least. If you're only staying a day or two, or are ok with no service, this place is ok for the price. "

"Everything was amazing! We loved the space, the thoughtful decor, and the quietness of the property. It was such a restful spot for our family, and just a mile down the road from hiking and horseback riding at Turkey Run. We especially loved the front porch! Hope to be back again sometime!"

"A fun stay with some highlights and a few caveats depending on who you're traveling with.The kids (ages 5–10) absolutely loved it — the pool, game room, and garage kept them entertained the entire trip. For families with young children, those amenities alone make it worth it.For the adults, it was more of a mixed experience. The house is quirky and the bathrooms are noticeably outdated, which wasn't a dealbreaker but did affect the overall comfort level. The space has real potential and feels like it could be a standout property with some updates.One definite bright spot: the host was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.Overall, a solid choice for a kid-focused trip — just go in with realistic expectations on the adult amenities side."
