Perfect overnight stay with all the amenities as listed. Enjoyed having the hot tub in the enclosed sun porch. Took a quick drive for a hike around Cataract Falls. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely porch swing for watching the sunset. Will definitely be back again!

This house was in a beautiful location. It was such a quiet peaceful place to stay. My family loved the fact that there were walking trails around the property and even a small covered bridge!

Beautiful setting out in the country with walking path. There were plenty of activities since we went during covered bridge fest. The home was clean and very nice. Huge kitchen with anything you needed to make a meal. Wheel chair accessible. We really enjoyed our stay there!We would go back anytime.

Great place to stay for Mom's weekend

Country Hideaway was a great place to stay for my son's fraternity annual Mom's weekend. It was an easy 7 minutes out of town and had all the amenities needed to sleep well, stay clean and cook meals.

Our Stay

Our stay was a quick booking due to water damage at our actual home. The owner was so very accommodating and kind to us. We are beyond thankful for her letting us come on short notice and even come early. The place was quiet and in a beautiful setting. Definitely recommend!

The property was great, peaceful, and relaxing. The hot tub was a nice extra. The walking trails in the woods were amazing and exactly what I wanted and needed. When we come back to thw area we will definitely be bookong a stay again!!

Beautiful property

Lovely home with lots of space to spread out- inside and out. Our dog appreciated the 12 acres of woods to romp through. I appreciated the hot tub after a long drive. I hope to stay again!

The property was amazing, the host cleans the hot tub after every guest which I was worried about. We are already talking about going back next year. Ursula was accommodating and even left us a welcome gift!

Wonderful place to recuperate

Our daughter had a serious accident and we needed a place near DePauw to care for her. This quiet haven was ideal. House is handicapped accessible and close to all we needed. The owner was so helpful and responsive when we needed something, she even ran out and bought potholders when we realized the house was missing them! This has been a great little home away from home.

A little slice of heaven

Loved it so much we booked another week! Great location- close to DePauw yet in a quiet country setting. Fully equipped kitchen with all amenities you need to cook gourmet meals- including a grill! Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms, quiet porch swings for reading or sipping wine. Trails to explore in the nearby woods. Best host ever, super responsive and helpful! Highly recommend.

Very cute house.

Very nice house, super cute. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub. Only bad thing about the whole house was the black mold in the washer and one spot on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms.. Other than those two issues, it was a very nice house and highly recommend

Great Fall weekend

Older house but looks like they are updating. only one small TV and hottub was o.k However, clean and spacious, cannot beat the view. Private trails in woods. Very nice appliances in kitchen and laundry room. New electronic sleeper lazyboy type chair and Couch sectional. Beautiful wrap around porch, very nice grill. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway for a couple

The house is very nice and off the road so it feels very secluded. We got a nice amount of snow which made it even better. The house is well stocked with everything you could need - towels, sheets, blankets, pots and pans, etc. They even had a table top ice maker which was great! The hot tub didn't feel very clean which was kind of gross - lots of debris in the bottom and floating. Plus the room is VERY musty and moldy smelly. That was really the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating. Oh and the fireplace doesn't work - just a heads up! Had a nice time overall! Thanks!
