"This place is idyllic. We had a lovely welcome to the beautifully crafted house. Surrounded by birdsong, bush tracks and the most dreamy river swims! Came over for family and had to tear ourselves away every time we went out. Hoping to stay longer next time. "

"This place is magic. You feel as one with the shoreline, perfectly nestled in the trees and views all around (both in the bedroom area and the loft). The decor is gorgeous, the record player provided much entertainment for our family of 4 and the kitchen has everything you need. The fireplace is a lovely addition, alongside the paddle boards, kayaks and hot tub (wood burning) in the front. I have never stayed in a more peaceful place. The loft has a gate that latches to ensure safety sleeping; under 5’s might not be comfortable up there though. We loved horse riding at hack n stay as well, great company and people. Book here and go riding!"

"This is a wonderful cottage. The garden is lovely and has a creek running through it. ideal if you want a base for exploring Kahurangi National Park and Farewell Spit, but would also be a great place to spend some time relaxing in the garden."

"Fabulous location and amazing bach. It is a perfect configuration for two families. It was so well equipped with beautiful linen, appliances and great toys for the kids. The living area is spacious and light and has great indoor/outdoor flow. The outdoor shower was great for the kids coming off the beach. The host was very responsive and so generous to offer kayaks, fishing rods etc. Such a special place, I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will be back."
