"This is a roadside hotel attached to a restaurant with some nice areas to sit and relax. The owner and staff were super friendly, and the rooms were nice and clean. "I recently stayed with my wife and let me tell you it was a gem of San Sebastian, next door to the Arima Spa. First of all we were upgraded to a higher floor and was amazing, good A/C spacious room and a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was soo good there are a lot of things to choose Jamon Iberico, smoked salmon, sorted of cheese and charcuterie, great coffee maker and a lot pastries, also a la carte eggs. There is an extra point of this Hotel is that there is a 1 minute walk bus station #28 to get to the last stop Boulevard (were you get off and walk). My advice just take the one across the nearby hotel. I will be staying here next time. Thanks!"

"Great location if you are looking for an affordable and practical alternative to staying in central San Sebastián. Pensión Beizama is in a quiet area of Astigarraga, with a bus stop about a 3-min walk away. Buses run regularly into Donostia/San Sebastián, passing the main bus station and continuing into the city centre, with a stop by Hotel María Cristina. I travelled alone and felt very safe in the area. The pension is above a small local bar/restaurant, which was very convenient for a quick breakfast and served good tortillas. They also serve meals, although I didn't try them. Within about a 5-min walk there are other local restaurants and places for pintxos, as well as small market and a bakery. I actually enjoyed being in a more residential area and seeing a bit of local life rather than staying right in the tourist centre. My room was clean with a small balcony. It was compact but perfectly functional. The bathroom was also small, but the shower area itself was spacious. This is a very simple, no-frills accommodation, and the price reflects that. There are three flights of stairs and no lift, and there is no AC. This wasn't a problem at all during my stay in the second half of September, when the temperature was very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were both quick and straightforward. Juan is really friendly. Overall, a simple, clean and good-value place to stay, with very convenient public transport."

"Stayed here while walking the Camino Ignaciano. Surprisingly clean, comfortable room for a highway trucker hotel, not too noisy, convenient restaurant downstairs, would recommend. Official Camino route (San Roman de San Milan) only 1 km away. Only regret was no bathtub, only shower but very good and reasonable price."

"We had a brief single night stop over at Hotel Dolorea. Booked through Expedia, which seemed to cause some confusion for the staff upon arrival but after some investigation by the staff our booking was found. We booked a shared room for a family of four. Room was air conditioned which was a welcome relieve from the near 40C outside. Room was spacious with a very generous sized bathroom, beds were comfy and water was in the mini fridge. There was no kettle in the room. Room/hotel were accessed using a key code which worked well when returning from an evening meal. A bonus is the private parking in the hotels subterranean car park for 10 euros a night. All in all a good experience, staff were friendly and helpful. Beasain is a delightful town for an evening stroll with some interesting historical features."
