"Beautiful location between beside rivers with view of Mt Ruapehu (cloud permitting). Hosts were very welcoming and gave friendly advice about local walks. We did the Mangawhero Forest Walk which took around an hour along well maintained trails through stunning forest, recommended. For dinner we did a nice walk through forest to town centre takes about 15 mins. We came back via roads after dark. Room was quiet and comfortable with outdoor terrace and

"This property was very cheap, and room felt mostly clean aside from black mould on bathroom ceiling. The entrance was right next to a huge bin, which was full of rubbish so not nice to walk past when coming/going.
