Overall great. The house is beautiful. Well appointed in a great location A confusing things one is the Jacuzzi is only accessible through one of the bedrooms. If you are really passionate about exploring everything in and around Mt.Rupaehu and Ohakune you would probably require a good 1 week. Must do Tongariro Alpine crossing,Waitonga falls, try out chocolate Eclair at Ohakune-world famous in New Zealand.
The mountain rocks bar and cafe’, we went there for dinner. I had the seafood chowder and Rob had the steak, the food is to die for and the service is fantastic. Would highly recommend grazing here to family and friends .
Nice little town during summer
A drive up the Old Mountain Road gives the option of several different length walks.
