Room was one of the cabins. Basically a metal box that a room was made of. No closet. No place to hang anything up. Heater small for room and took a while to heat the space. The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to many restaurants.

If you are really passionate about exploring everything in and around Mt.Rupaehu and Ohakune you would probably require a good 1 week. Must do Tongariro Alpine crossing,Waitonga falls, try out chocolate Eclair at Ohakune-world famous in New Zealand.
The mountain rocks bar and cafe’, we went there for dinner. I had the seafood chowder and Rob had the steak, the food is to die for and the service is fantastic. Would highly recommend grazing here to family and friends .
Nice little town during summer
A drive up the Old Mountain Road gives the option of several different length walks.
