"Lovely quiet Victorian living and a very easy walk to get into town. The owners are delightful and really want you to have a great stay. Room was spacious and comfortable and making our own breakfast when and how we wanted it worked surprisingly well. We very much enjoyed our two nights here and the overall uniqueness of this historic home. Would definitely come back again."

I arrived at reception and was met by a very friendly gentleman who engaged in pleasant chit chat and showed me to our room. The room was immaculate and the decor subtle and fresh. The room had a table, chairs and a comfortable settee. A flat screen TV and a CD player with a selection of DVDs. The bed was extremely comfortable with immaculately laundered and presented bedding. The kitchen had everything needed - our main need was a kettle, tea cups and wine glasses. We had no intention doing any...

Our room was exactly as advertised, clean, well appointed and had an incredible view. We requested a last minute early check in so we could make a local tour which was accommodated without charge. Definitely would stay here again!

Really cosy, clean and safe in my experience. I lived the white and blue. The kitchen and lounge felt homely. Close to the ferry, Thai restaurant, theatre, mini golf. . . A beautiful, rejuvenating place.

An outstanding property—we absolutely loved our stay. Michelle, Stefan (and Harvey) are exceptional hosts!! Our room, the James Cook Apartment, was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, and the grounds are simply stunning. The location is perfect, with an easy 15-minute walk to the main street. Breakfast was delicious and a real highlight. We can't wait to return!

My husband and I travelled from Auckland to Lochmara for a 3 night getaway. It was a was a whole day of travelling each way but well worth it. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view. It was so relaxing sitting on our patio in the early evening with a bottle of wine, just watching the beautiful bay. The food in the restaurant was amazing as was the outlook. There are free kayaks to use and theres's lots to see when walking all around the grounds. Also plenty hammocks to relax...
