The hotel was good. Very good location, with easy access to all major attractions and restaurants. Offered continental breakfast at a fair price. The access to the hotel was somewhat difficult but manageable due to construction by the city, but this was not something in the control of the hotel. Overall very satisfied.

Lovely small hotel within the main area of Sol. There was a lovely breakfast each morning which was always being replenished. My room was small but was clean and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again

Even thought the street out front was under construction, once the automatic door closed, it was very quiet! Some areas need updating as they look old & deteriorating but it was very clean!

Ok for a couple of nights but too expensive for what you get. No fridge or safe in the room. Bed was ok but no furniture to put things away and the drawer offered was wobbly. Bathroom ok but poorly done.

Amazing staff, comfortable hotel in great place

The hotel is in a great location for visiting Madrid. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean perhaps in need of a bit of a refresh in terms of decoration, otherwise perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate.

This hotel is super convenient to a lot of the attractions inadrid and to the train station. Not a luxury hotel, but clean and with a good breakfast buffet for $8. I recommend this place. Great for the price!

The folks working there are incredible. Locals who will help find a good spot to eat or help you charge your phone, even get a train ticket. Location kicks ass, I’ll never stay at a hostel if this place exists.

We spent 3 nights at the Mayerling. Close to everything is nice, and breakfast was good. Rooms ok for shorter stays. We had a leekage from the shower in our initial room, but was swiftly moved to another when we notified the friendly staff. Alas we experienced some sort of bed bugs the last night, feasting on only one of us - we're not sure what it was, but notified the staff when checking out. Thank you for now, Madrid, it was a pleasure!

The room would only be good for 1 night stay if there are 3people in the room. I needed a bowl for my fruits and the guy in the reception said I cannot take the bowl to the room as it is only for those who are availing of the breakfast.

The hotel is outdated and in very poor condition. The rooom design and condition was bad. Bed was uncomfortable and the sheets got me itchy. Coulf hardly sleep. The bathroom not much better - the blowdrier showing exposed electric wiring, partially and amateurly covered. Showerhead was falling out of the ceiling as it was old or poorly built. On the bright side - crew was extremely nice and helpful. there is 24/complementary coffee and tea station in tbe loby. Location is very central. Hotel was clean. To sum it up, old and somber hotel in bad condition. Location and great staff are not good enough to overcome it. I advise to avoid !

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Firstly, it’s very conveniently located to Plaza Mayor and the San Miguel market, being a few minutes walk from both. There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants all around the hotel. Secondly the staff are just superb! Friendly and courteous. The hotel offers free water and coffee throughout the day. We didn’t avail of the breakfast option , but at €7 per person, it looked pretty good! The room itself was clean and comfortable, good WiFi and a very comfortable bed. Blackout curtains were great as was the air conditioning. One thing I’d have liked was a more traditional bathroom - the room had a separate shower room and toilet, with the sink outside in the main room. Nothing major though! Would stay again.
