Location: Perfectly located to explore the city walking. It is a 2km walk to the Palace. So everythingbis located between the hitel and the palace. Short walk to the Salamanca area. Hotel: Very nice. Lots of restaurants near by. Nice breakfast for a reasonable price. Room: Very nice with plenty space, comfortable bed, large ahower. Staff: Very nice and helpful. They allowed early check in. I would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful, recently renovated, friendly and helpful hotel. Would suit party people. Only problem was loud noise from club until 2:00am. Otherwise perfect: comfortable bed, helpful concierge, warm welcome.

Great staff, bed was super comfortable. Parking at €39 a day was a little more than I expected but it is Madrid! A great location and the staff had some great recommendations for restaurants.

This was the nicest hotel room that I stayed in during my time in Spain - considering the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nice variety of shops and restaurants within a 5min walk.

A marvelous hotel in a marvelous location

Clean, luxurious and spacious for a city hotel, the hotel is in the middle of a fun area that is incredibly convenient to many of Madrid's best barrios. You are at the corner of Parque Retiro, a few minutes walk from the best museums, and adjacent to the swanky stores and restaurants of Salamanca. The perfect location. And did I mention the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff? They made us feel very welcome, an oasis of calm in the swirl of Alcala.

New hotel close to elegant shops and restaurants

The hotel seems to be new but it looks like if they forced a hotel into an old apartments building so the adaptation is a little awkward. The bathrooms are very modern but the designer thought more in the esthetics than in functionality,

The hotel is one of the best--compares favorably to the larger 5 star chain hotels (e.g. Ritz, 4 Seasons, etc) but feels more personal. It was renovated relatively recently, so all the facilities are up to date. The rooms are very large in comparison to many other hotels in center city. The bathrooms are very nice with rain shower and soaking tub and two sinks. Despite being in a central, busy location, the room was incredibly quiet (and dark) at night with very comfortable bedding. The staff was fantastic--very helpful with dining recommendations, assistance with transportation, luggage, etc. Chilled Cava and water were both available in room upon arrival--likely complementary, though we did not drink it due to dinner plans. The hotel is very well located on the corner of the El Retiro park which is lovely to walk through. Lots of shaded paths and the Cristal Palace, as well as the botanical gardens. Lots of great shopping, tapas and restaurants nearby. 20 min to airport by taxi. I can't think of a better location. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when we return to Madrid.
