Just arrived home from staying at this hostal in Madrid. The stay was great, even though the room was a bit small, the overall experience was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming… great location and walkable to most popular locations

Overall we liked our stay and found the location to be great for us. The Barrio de las Letras area is charming nd close to many restaurants and attractions. Found the place easily and checked in on the 4th floor. They have an elevator, which was appreciated. Our room was clean and cute, but smaller. Essentially, you have a bedroom as your living space and the bathroom. It felt newer and clean, with a fridge and a coffee/tea water kettle. It is a pretty basic setup but the bed and pillows were comfy, and the bathroom/shower were nice. Nice towels too. A couple of tips: there is virtually no storage area in the room such as drawers to unplack into and a tiny, short clothes bar to hang a few items. The bathroom does not have a place to set your toiletry items or a bag. There is no other place to sit than on your bed. Not a huge issue for us as we spent very little time in our room but it would be nice to have a few places to set and organize your things during your stay. We stayed for three nights. This a Hostal vs a hotel and while we don't need frills...we preferred our stay at boutique hotel when we returned to the city for our last night but it was a bit more $ than this hotel per night.

Lovely Madrid

The hotel is very well centered on Madrid, walkable to the main attractions and important places on the heart of the city center … Very hood restaurants and places to eat near by and Puerta del Sol is just 5 minutes walk.. I recommend this hotel

Awesome staff, from frontdesk to housekeeping. Very walkable and convenient location to explore cities. Just small problem, walls are thin that you can hear the other person chatting in the their room, and the room was little bit warm. But still I highly recommend, this hostal if you looking to stay in Madrid. Still my hostal of choice when i go back to Madrid.

The location was perfect. Access was easy and I appreciate the security arrangements. The room was comfortable. The bathoom had a small shower-only stall. The staff was helpful. We used the laundry service which was reasonably priced and was delivered same day as promised. We also had breakfast twice which was very well priced and had a good variety of fresh food. Would recommend stay again. Elevator was available but was small (old building retrofit - totally understandable) so best for customers going up or dealing with luggage. We had a nice view of the street, which was quiet.

Tiny gem!

Newly renovated, our small room was clean, had TV and Bar fridge, and a nice private bathroom and shower. The premium room also had an American King sized bed. The Hostel was very nicely located, close to 3 Metro stations and nearby to hundreds of shops and restaurants. We're returning to Madrid in 3 weeks and wanted to keep our options open as to where we stayed but we're gladly returning here.

Excellent location

Stayed 4nights in early May. Very central location, you can walk to almost all the main tourist attractions within 10 -20 minutes such as Puerta del Sol, Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor etc. Clean and quiet room, good shower. There is a supermarket just around the corner. Under 10 minutes walk from the metro station. The reception staff were all friendly. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom but no other amenities so don't forget to bring your own. Overall very happy with the hotel and would stay again.
