"A nice downtown area, but the parking is terrible"

"We were really disappointed from the first moment of our stay. The front desk agent spoke in one word, clearly annoyed sentences. Told us our room would be ready in 10 minutes—it took an hour and 3 trips to the front desk with my autistic 7-year-old. Our room was a “water view” which was actually mostly industrial eyesores. It was next to the laundry and ice machines—super noisy. Breakfast was too crowded to enjoy. The facility had random signs of failure to maintain, like duct tape holding the light posts together at the valet pickup. We expected much more and won’t be staying again. Watch out for the extra valet fee if you need parking, too. "

"This is a great location in Southie! Walking distances to restaurants and shops, and easy into access into Boston. The accommodation is a little quirky - the bedroom is tiny but it's comfy and good sleeping. The bathroom is split with shower and good sink in one area and the toilet with a small sink in another. Took a minute to figure it all out, but for the price the quirkiness is easy to accept. The only real issue was the lack of a space for my suitcase to be laid out. I was a solo traveler to visit my daughter for a weekend. If my husband had joined it would have been tricky. I did find a place to hang clothes in the kitchen the day I was leaving. As I said, a tad quirky, but the price was right. Finally finding the alley was tricky. The address brings you to the front door of the house, but the entrance to this is behind the house via a small side walkway on the side street - you can't pull in with a car in the back alley - just FYI to fellow renters. I'd use it again for a quick visit. "
