"For some reason, we were upgraded from a standard double to a suite with a four poster bed which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are not serviced if your stay is 3 nights or less but you can place rubbish, used towels and toiletries outside your door and they will be removed and replaced. There was a large choice at breakfast including pastries, toast, cereal and cooked items all served buffet style so something for everyone. We went out each day and evening so did not have lunch or evening...

"The room was ideal. It was comfortable, had a bath and shower that were easy to operate. There was a generous supply of teas and coffee. The cosy lounges downstairs were lovely. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with plenty of coffee/tea topups. All the staff were polite and attentive and easy to have a chat to. Overall, a memorable stay. Our last day breakfadt was goid however consistency needs to be maintained. Front of house staff work very hard, especially Nial, & Jenny. As a former auditor i would suggest a visit by a snag fixer and this place would be cracking. Small changes, massive differences."

A very relaxing stay
"Stayed here last year as a base nearby a local annual event and was so impressed we came back again this year. Hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. The fridge in our room was extremely useful as we'd brought a picnic with us for the event. Lovely to have a swimming pool and spa to use too. All in all, a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend."
