"Derwent House is a beautiful period building across a quiet lane from a park in the centre of Matlock. Great location for walking to restaurants and bars. Easy access to drive to local attractions. Comfortable beds, most rooms ensuite. Lots of space for sitting together in the kitchen or dining room and comfortable front room. Only downside is this house has LOW DOORS! We had at least 3 bumped heads as all doors and stairs have low head space!! Also the drain blocked whilst we were there resulting in dishwasher not working and smelly sinks in some bathrooms. "
