Top Lula Cellars Hotel Reviews
The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek
8/10 Good
"The property was beautiful but it was cold, even with the fire. The heat didn't reach the bathroom. I am sure that the weather is usually much better so warmth is not such a problem. We just happened to be there during a cold snap. We didn't see any staff but didn't expect to. Parking outside the rooms is tight but there is plenty of parking elsewhere."
The Orchard Hotel Ukiah Mendocino County
10/10 Excellent
"Such a great find in Ukiah. I stayed here one night on my way to LA from Seattle. Loved it so much, I stayed another night in my way back home. The staff was super friendly, rooms were updated, clean and beds comfy. Ukiah is a great little town. I would definitely come back to the Orchard Hotel."

SureStay Hotel by Best Western Ukiah
10/10 Excellent
"The property was excellent. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure outstanding. My husband and I were very disappointed however with the breakfast provided. There was very little choice - and only carbohydrates - cereal, bread, waffles, bagels and english muffins. Only bananas as the fruit. There was juice available, which we did not drink. There was no protein available to eat....yogurt, or hard cooked eggs would have been perfect. Both my husband and I are diabetic and need something besides carbohydrates for breakfast. His blood sugar went through the roof after he ate (the high 200's). Please consider providing protein with your breakfast offerings."

"The property is a bit dated but neat and well appointed for our stay. The view is breathtaking and the sun room and loft bedroom are special features."
The Madrones
8/10 Good
"This is one of my favorite places to stay. Lovely, charming, unhurried with beautiful architecture and grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was exactly as I recall it being roughly 12 years ago - spacious, lovingly decorated, attentive details everywhere with luxurious, high quality furnishings. The Madrones is a welcome respite in Anderson Valley and great home base for local wine tasting. The restaurant was still as cozy and intimate as I remembered, with simple but carefully crafted dishes. The dining courtyard could not be more charming. The ambiance is unbeatable at The Madrones and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. (There were a couple of minor areas of improvement: the tv wasn't properly working - but staff provided a half bottle of wine to make up for this - and the large blinds and bathroom ceiling could use dusting/cobweb removal.) All else was spotless and well maintained. I would return again and again and highly recommend The Madrones."
Mendocino Coast Hideaway
8/10 Good
"Great place! Ann was very nice. Only thing I would change would be a new mattress."
