We were in LA for a short stay with one of our kids and his friend (14yo). The apartment was exactly as pictured and was clean and tidy. I appreciate the view towards downtown Santa Monica and the ocean. The location was very convenient for us - pretty easy access to SM, restaurants, and the beach. There's quite a bit of street noise but that is to be expected right in the city. Hosts were good communicators. We had a few small maintenance issues that I told the owners about but they will be easy to fix. My only complaint would be about the check-in process. We didn't particularly like that we had to coordinate our arrival with the host to meet us there. We would have much preferred self check-in. But I would definitely recommend this property for visitors looking to be right near the heart of everything.

Penthouse, not

We walked in the door and a cleaning person was moping the bedroom with a very strongly chemical smell. She left the mop in the bedroom. The dishwasher was dirty, The microwave stopped working, the remotes to the TV needs batteries. The second bedroom is terrible, no air, not fun for anyone. The master bedroom bed is comfortable. The bathroom showers are not that good and the rubber on the bottom of the door was off. the corner property is right over the train so sitting on the little balcony was not fun at all. The view of sky and mountains nice. we spent a lot of time trying to get help waiting for someone to fix things. We were told that the parking would be free, however, that was ignored in the bill and after several communications saying it would be addressed it never was. Do yourself a favor, don't got to a pent house that is more work than your own home.
