"If you are looking for a warm, cozy, and perfectly local escape that keeps you right next to the mountains, this is absolutely the place! There is truly no better way to end the day after a long, rewarding 7hr hike than soaking in the hot tub under a blanket of stars. We could see everything, including the Milky Way!For gentle morning walks, the historic mine and the beautiful rushing river are just steps away and incredibly scenic.And our host, Wendy, is an absolute gem! She surprised us with fresh pastries and thoughtful complimentary snacks that truly upgraded our entire trip to an 11/10. We cannot thank Wendy enough for making us feel so incredibly welcome and cared for. We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven!P.S. Happy Birthday Wendy!"

"Gorgeous setting and I love how secluded it was. My only critique is that the futon in the living room needs to be replaced with an actual couch. It was very uncomfortable to sit on."

"We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Escape very much! Beautiful and clean property. Well stocked, comfortable home with everything we needed to cook meals. Wonderful outdoor space. The host was very responsive and helpful. Check in was a breeze. Great location. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!"

"This was our 2nd stay with Julie at this site. It was every bit as enjoyable as the first. Communication in preparation and during our stay was prompt and helpful. Jamestown in a great place to stay. The community is friendly and welcoming. The local "Merc"intile has food specialties and live entertainment several evenings each week.The postmaster was super helpful in seeing a parcel was delivered to us on time. The kitchen was sufficient for our needs. Regarding being pet-friendly, you would never know it if it wasn't listed. All was good."

"This property is as advertised. A quaint, rustic, 100 year old cabin. The creek is right out the back door and the water rushing was great to hear. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had most everything we needed. We had brought our food with us to bake or warm up and it all worked out well. It is about 30-40 min from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, which is where we spent our days. The back porch was nice for watching the water. There are other cabins close by, so it's not super private, but there was no one in the other close cabins while we were there, so that was nice. It was very quiet. Just so you know, there is no TV. It was fine for us, but we hadn't realized that until we got there, so just thought I would put that in here. Communication with the host was great."

"Perfect house for large groups. It’s essentially two big houses with a repeated floor plan which was perfect for our large gathering. We had 5 families and it couldn’t have been more enjoyable!"

"This is a wonderful, peaceful retreat for everyone, even fur babies! Lettie was such a kind, helpful and thoughtful host. We had a fabulous time. The scenery is beautiful and it's so close to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was such a memorable trip and one we'll never forget."
