"Staff is hit or miss. I have had the kindest and most helpful, but I have also had the most ridiculously rude staff. Aside from that though, the pool is decent, they have outdoor seating for eating and they have the BEST food just across the street. They are a favorite for people cruising out of Long Beach. We will stay there again. I just wish they would get rid of the nasty staff : ("

"Hotel Mai is very unassuming. At first, it just looks like any small, boutique hotel. But our stay ended up being one of the best we've had. The property was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were incredible. The roof top is an amazing place to relax. I very much recommend a stay here."

"Room was not pleasant at all we found someone’s dirty socks in between one of the chairs!! Room had a very eggy smell parking is 35 dollars a night even though there lot was always full staff wouldn’t answer calls when calling to the room was left on hold for 10mins then another 10mins just for them to not answer and hang up it’s a 200 deposit which is ludicrous the place is old and run down wasn’t a great experience for me and my family"

"Decent hotel. The staff is definitely friendly- especially the valet crew. Our bathroom was the most concerning. Between a very leaky shower head that sprayed the ceiling, to the wallpaper peeling in multiple places in the main room, to a tv that only worked occasionally- we were definitely shocked given the name and standards we associate the hotel with. Overall it was a good stay. Just needs a little upkeep."
