booked a premium room. when we got to the hotel, they put us in a standard room because they had overbooked on premium rooms, but instead of telling us this they lied and tried to deceive us. When we complained, they eventually admitted the room was incorrect, but they didn’t deal with it very well at all, and we felt like we were an inconvenience. They eventually put us in a family room which was better but the room was missing certain items towels, et cetera.
it didn’t affect us, but the marble slab holding the shower screen was almost falling off, so you couldn’t open the shower screen properly and was also reasonably dangerous. There was also water dripping through the light above the sink on the second night tried phoning reception, but the phone in the room didn’t seem to be working.
