The Staff were very friendly and helpful with information about activities around the Island. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. Loved my dinner but was disappointed when they had no raw fish, no sashimi and Poke that night. The aircon was working perfectly for us. The only thing was the pool was not clean enough for my standards but otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay there again. Good value for money. A special mention that Misi and Joe were extremely excellent with their service. Made a huge difference to our Savaiian experience. Thank you.

Thankyou and we do apologise again for shortage of raw fish only . As we rely on a few local fisherman, (there is no constant seafood supply or shop on the island) when the weather is bad they understandably do not go out and thus we from time to time experience a shortage of sashimi grade fish, which our chef is particularly fiesty over ensuring premium grade "freshness" . We are glad to hear you enjoyed the hospitality provided. regards

Talofa! This is by far one of my favorite part of my trip is this hotel. I’ve stayed here twice as me and hubby try to come here every year. The hotel is out dated, but it’s on a island with limited resources that aren’t the same as the USA. I’m just grateful for the location and I’m looking outside the box it’s not the luxurious hotel that I want it’s the family feeling you get from the staff. On Savaii this hotel is special because of the people and the food is delicious too. I’ll be back in 2020 I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.

We had 5 nights here. Lovely garden setting. Although property a bit tired What made our stay most enjoyable was the staff. From manager to bar/restaurant staff to house staff. Cheerful and helpful with great advice re rentals ferries sights.

Hotel is 10 minutes drive from the ferry next to a gas station Location looks amazing but on a lagoon not a proper beach Restaurant area looks great and food is decent at a reasonable price Rooms could do with some updating and it was hard to sleep with no aircon, but cheap for Savaii

First of all the staff are amazing! So friendly and so professional, really couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely the highlight. The main area of the hotel (lobby, bar, restaurant) was pleasant and had a nice pool area with a great view over the ocean. The room was fairly shabby but adequate for our needs and very spacious. More attention could have been paid to some areas, like the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, there was only one cushion available for all the sun beds by the pool, and there were no parasols. These things were survivable but the thing I struggled with most was the chickens. In Samoa it seems to be commonplace to allow one’s animals (chickens/pigs/cows/dogs) to roam around freely and the chickens at this hotel certainly had freedom of expression. They crowed and squawked all night! I only got a couple of hours’ sleep on our first night because of it. It really is a shame because it hampered an otherwise lovely experience at this hotel.

We are sorry to hear of the issues in your room and have brought these up with our housekeeping and maintenance as they had not been brought to our attention before. Our pool loungers all have cushions but they are stored in the bar to avoid mould and fading from prolonged unnecessary exposure to the elements so they are provided on request. We apologise if you were not made aware of this. Yes our friendly village chickens are an aspect of being located in a community/residential area. They wander in and out of our property and it varies how much they are actually around the rooms etc - we do our best to shoosh them away to the next neighbours bushes/hedges but unfortunately some will sneak in behind our backs and find a favourite spot within ear shot.

This property suited us perfectly since my husband has family in Salelologa that is why I picked this place because it’s location. It has a restaurant that is open later then any other place is this area. They provide internet for a fee (15 Tala) for 3 hours. They have happy hour the food and drink is reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Ferry was canceled for 2 days because of strong winds this hotel was able to accommodate us without a reservation. Will definitely come back on our future travels.

It's a great place to stay in Savaii. The manager and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They gave us plenty of tips on what to see and do in the island. Snorkeling was very good and using the kayaks at no additional cost was a plus. They went out of their way to help us whenever we needed. Highly recommended

Highly recommended
Heavy tropical rain pouring down on arrival, but were met by lovely Samoan sunshine miles and huge umbrellas......I arrived early, but they arranged early check in and breakfast complimentary..... Very kind and helpful staff...couldnt be any better... One thing missing, free or cheap wifi...but this is for Samoa in general, no complimentary or even cheap wifi.....when travelling today most bookings can only be done online....

The location is perfect.. not too far from the wharf. I stayed overnight and the staff are so lovely and accommodating. Also enjoyed the buffet breakfast with assorted fruits home made banana loaf and pancakes.. Thank you for making my staff welcoming : )

Our room (Fale #2) was clean and comfortable and the staff are some of the friendliest people in all of Savaii. We also liked that they don’t try to over-westernise the real Samoan food like talo and luau the way other expensive hotels (Amoa) do. We chose to stay here on our last night in Savaii because of its proximity to the wharf - and we’re glad that we did. Top job The Savaiian!

Lovely staff, bungalows 30 seconds walk to the restaurant, swimming pool and ocean. If the loud music from neighboring bothers you as me just ask on the reception they will call them to turn it down. Room clean with a comfy bed and fens, cold water only. Nice no expensive dinner. Breakfast included. They got happy hours for cocktails too.

It has everything you need, excellent
Petrol station, shop and doctor all very close by. Not too far from the main shopping area. Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful clean rooms & bathroom facilities. Love the pool area and lounge area. Delicious breakfast especially love loooove the banana bread.

The hotel is very outdated. The rooster woke us up early in the morning. The food was good although for the rate we paid we were surprised we had to pay extra for eggs in the morning. The staff are also lovely. I would visit again for the food but not to stay.

Dear Sir, We are glad to hear you enjoyed our food. We do advice that the included breakfast is a continental and that cooked breakfasts are an extra. This information is made available before you arrive. Even more expensive resorts then ours in Savaii and Apia do not give free cooked breakfasts :) Our hotel is 25 yrs old and we work hard to ensure it is kept well maintained and clean with constant upgrades happening from time to time. If she shows her age in a few spots this can not be helped but we don't agree that you can say the entire property appears outdated. We were praised by our recent hotel association by being an example property of one of the cleanest and well maintained hotels on the island :) Perhaps a different room type would sway your opinion next time but we would welcome you to our Restaurant any time. Lovely friendly staff. Good fale style room with ensuite. Quiet garden setting. No beach and only a small pool. Was perfect as our first night in Savaii. Easy to find and close to port. We would pick this again.

Mid range hotel close to Lano shores
The Savaiian is an OK hotel if you want to explore the Lano area and conveniently close to Salelologa and the east and south of Savaii Island. Price is acceptable for what they offer, food is great! and staff is really nice in general. you've got a convenience store and a petrol station just outside of it (which is super convenient).

We will take your concerns on board, unfortunately we have had to replace our kayaks several times over the last 10 years as they wear down pretty quick, especially when kayaks are taken out during low tide (when we ask for them not to be) and get scratched along the bottom. As we can not purchase these on island and often have to ship from a very far away supplier, they are rather precious to us and to promote longevity of these facilities for future paying guests, yes, a trivial fee is placed on hiring ($15 ST - which is less then $10 NZD or around $7 USD) . We loved our stay at the Savaiian, the grounds are beautiful, the staff are awesome (Seki!) and the food is great. Lovely vibes and handy location. Next time we will stay in one of the fale style rooms because the budget rooms are not that comfortable - they sure are a bargain but if you can afford it get yourself one of the nicer rooms!

All I can say is WOW!!! The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. ALL of the staff were amazing!!! I truly have nothing bad to say. This is definitely the place to stay in Savaii.

Great Rooms and Customer Service
Booked 2 Standard AC Quad Rooms. My family spent one night (Saturday) and woke up to Mother's day Sunday. The rooms were perfect for the number of our family members. Room service was great and we enjoyed our dinner at our rooms. The continental breakfast was ok with very small portions, it was fine with us. I made lei's arrangement for my wife and both of our Mothers and the hotel came through. Our family were very happy with the short stay at Savaiian Hotel.

Nice affordable place
Nice place to chill out, it’s an a bit old hotel but the gardens are very nice and well looked after. There is no sand beach in front of hotel, but the swimming pool does the trick.

It's not good, water heater was out, and asked to fix, but did not fix it until the next day. I have one extra guest stay in my room, but was told that there was extra charges of 60 tala, which I think is not reasonable.

Dear Lek,we are sorry tobhear you ran out of hot water. We do try to rectify this as soon as posaible when notified and but can be difficult if late in the day. All our rooms are priced from a single room with 1 occupant.we clearly state in all our websites that e tra people in the room ate charged 30 tala per night (or 60 for 2 nights) many hotels so this and will charge for extra people. We hope you enjoyed Savaii;)

Wasn’t amazing, air con didn’t work as much, no wifi and when requested it was too hard too connect to after paying $15 tala for one hour. The fridge was also not connected as we had to connect everything upon arrival. Tv didn’t work it was almost placed as an after thought. Despite the beautiful island it just didn’t really tick many boxes
