"very helpfull and polite staff even though they work long hours they always had a smile. Property does need updating and is being refurbished ,my room was very clean as off the hotel its self. Breakfast plentiful which was a buffet. help yourself self to hot food or a selection of cold food . Parking there's parking out front but its very limited ,there is a carpark in town behind weatherspoons which is payable."

Headlands Hotel
8/10 Good
"Headlands Hotel Review and Suggestions I really liked the Headlands Hotel. I chose it because of its look and its location. It turned out to be in some ways - the most “challenging” place I stayed in my journey. The two gentlemen (Forgive me for forgetting their names.) who were there to help the travelers were both friendly and worked as hard as possible to make the stay a pleasant one. There were some communications difficulties due to our different backgrounds, but we all did our best. To me, meeting people from other places is one of the joys of travel. Things you should know: The hotel is way up on a hill overlooking the edge of town. I was on the 4th floor with an amazing view of the pier and the beach. If you have trouble climbing up and down steep hills and steps– this is probably not the place to book. I arrived by train and taxi. There appears to be some parking available. The hotel has no elevator. That’s not unusual for old hotels, but taking luggage up and down the steps can be a bit of a challenge. Bring your own shampoo and soap. Aside from tiny packet in the bathroom there was none provided. Perhaps this is normal for some places, but I was glad that I had my own. There was a tabletop fan in the closet which I needed. The shower and toilet worked well. I ate minimally, so I can’t really offer an opinion of the breakfast. In spite of the challenges, I’m glad I stayed at the Headlands Hotel."
