Well situated for old town, the river with all its shops, bars and restaurants, close to bus and train station. We had family room, clean and spacious, with 2 separate sleeping areas, but no doors- may/may not be an issue depending on your family. Large modern bathroom. Varied selection foods at breakfast, they serve lunch but not dinner, just to be aware, we arrived late eve.then had to set off to find place to eat (most stop serving 10pm). Nice decked terrace which we looked longingly at from our window, but couldn't make use of because of the rainy weather.

The hotel is is a perfect spot, smack dab in the center of Ljubljana's historic and cultural district. Everything is within walking distance, including dozens of good places to eat and drink. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it is quiet and easy to sleep at night. The hotel is well-staffed, and the employees are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel bar is well-stocked and friendly. If you drive, be aware that it is VERY difficult to find a place to park. The hotel has limited parking places, and we parked in the underground garage for 20 Euro a night, which is not unreasonable. Still, I don't recommend driving there. Anyway, my wife and I were very satisfied with everything.

Spacious room … lovely to have a balcony.. breakfast was plentiful and fresh.. do try the rice pudding .. lovely! Staff very pleasant and helpful…gave options for airport transfer and printed boarding passes efficiently and pleasantly..location couldn’t be beaten just around the corner from the cathedral and within a quick walk to the bus and train station

No a/c. Windows did not provide adequate ventilation. Views were not very good. Partying on the street outside late in the evening was annoying. Front desk staff was formal and measured versus welcoming and engaging. Breakfast was decent but we had to wait for silverware fairly good buffet selection. Parking garage was extremely tight. If you have a large vehicle expect to be blocked in. The hotel has a great location. An easy 5 minute walk to the Dragon Bridge. If you want a mid range hotel experience this is the place.

Excellent location right in the middle of everything. We got the balcony room which was worth it for the direct view of the castle up on the hill. Parking was challenging b/c we were given a small SUV and really could have used the compact we wanted, but I managed and was helped by staff to find a spot the one time I couldn't. Desk and bar staff were wonderful and breakfast was really pretty good for a buffet.

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful from our arrival to checkout at the hotel. Our room was lovely and comfortable and breakfast catered for a great range of tastes. The hotel was in an excellent location a short walk from the old town and castle one way and the train and bus station the other. We had a lovely short break in Ljubljana and would recommend staying at the hotel.

I loved my stay at the City Hotel Ljubljana! Everything was so clean, attractive, and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet is included, and it was very satisfying. I loved how close it it is to the city center!

Great hotel
The hotel was great value for money. It had a modern interior and our room looked recently renovated and was very clean. The best think was the location, close to everything we wanted, sites, restaurants and bus/train station. Breakfast was great too.

Very centrally located hotel in Ljubljana right next to the old town. The hotel is comfortable. The room was spacious. Bathroom also spacious. Breakfast is very good, plenty of options both hot and cold.

Great location - walking distance to the train station and bus station as well as the old town. Buffet breakfast was amazing every morning. 24 hour burek nearby was excellent.

The room was nice, but it was far too hot and could not be regulated. We got a fan which helped. The breakfast buffet was very good and the front desk staff great. Good location.

Positives - location is excellent, included breakfast was good. Massive negative - you cannot control the room temperature which means you are disgustingly hot and cannot get a decent sleep for longer than an hour. Eventually we opened the large window for some cold but the noise from outside was ridiculously noisy. Based on this alone, in spite of the excellent location and breakfast I would not recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to dining and shopping. Very friendly and helpful customer service, Liubov who is working at front desk was very polite and professional, gave us Ljubljana map, explain what to visit first, where we can parked our car, and give us a lot of useful information The breakfast was Amazing ! Was one of the best breakfast we had during our trip in Italy and Slovenia. Overall our stay was very comfortable and would highly recommend!

The hotel was good and quite large. Spacious clean rooms and bathroom. We found the rooms so hot that we could not sleep well. We were moved after the first night to a room that had some AC controls although we slept with the windows wide open. Breakfast was extensive with many buffet selections to cater for most tastes. Staff members were polite and friendly. Good location for walking to the main points of interest.

It was next door to the old town area which is what we wanted. Staff was gracious. Appreciated the availablity of a taxi from & to the airport. We missed having a safe in the room. Otherwise, all was great.

The hotel was lovely; staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good, and the location was beyond fabulous. The walls were a bit thin (I could hear my neighbors text alerts and alarm, so I’m sure they could hear mine) but that was a minor issue. Overall I was very pleased with my stay.

The whole experience was amazing. Great room, professional, friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, superb breakfast (included). Perfect location to the train, bus and the city center. Simply impressive!
