The issue is that it is a little far from Lucca and/or any center, so I think they could help guests by putting a bottle of water in the room, and/or having some coffee/tea (they provided coffee pods for the first day only. "We had a bit of an issue getting into the property. Locals helped with calling the owner. Not sure what we would have done otherwise! Stairs to our shower area and balcony were not for anyone physically challenged. Very clean, comfortable mattress, darling small town, and lovely breakfast provided."

"The property was great: spacious, very nicely decorated and a big fenced garden for our dog to play. Very friendly staff who helped with our needs including extremely late check-out. "

"Difficult to find, as only the name of the adjacent hotel, San Ruffino Resort, appears on the sign at the shared driveway. Room decor is in serious need of an upgrade (weird 70’s vibe and a lot of dangling wires) and the kitchenette and bathroom are rudimentary. Landscaping is dreary. Breakfast was basic and seemed like most items came from a supermarket. Helpful and friendly staff and the San Ruffino rResort pool (which Il Poggia guests can use) was pleasant, as were the grounds of the Resort."

"This place should be calle Miramosquito instead of Miramare. This is an outright camp site. And the reality is that you should be prepared to deal with the huge insects that feast on your blood. Bring your bug spray. Overall, the bungalow it self was basic and clean but way too many bugs And unfortunately, the beach is rocky and though the view of the Mediterranean is enticing, the fact that the bungalow lacks screens and air conditioning makes it very uncomfortable to stay in. "10min walk to the nearest train station to get to other areas of italy such as florence and cinque terre. 15min walk to the tower of Pisa. Clean chalet, friendly & helpful staff, shop/cafe/restaurant on site. Kitchen area equipped with basics for cooking, there is no kettle,toaster, oven or microwave - just a 4 ringed gas hob which i feel could be improved more. Lots of mosquitos so ensure you pack repellant. Towels to hire. Good quality supermarket 10min walk away. I would definitely stay here...
