"This was a cute little hotel, I told my husband it was shady pines from the golden girls so we were laughing every time we mentioned the hotel. Parking was tight when we returned from dinner but still worked out. Star wars fans would love the lobby Tons of sink space, plenty of pillows and Towels, I appreciate towels!! The air conditioner didn't really get the room cold and I was sweating most of the nighthad to leave the window blinds open to keep the air conditioner running also:("

"Fabulous Location!Easy access to so many Beautiful places.Only hesitant is there is an air mattress for extra guest. A sofa sleeper would be more practical. Everything was Excellent. Some people complain about parking lot as far as I could tell after 6 weeks is only an issue is during Ski season. Do yourselves a favor & ride the Ski lifts in Beech Mountain 20 a person with a bar at the top!Sugar Top Rocks! "

"I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening."

"A wonderful 2.5 week stay. Great location, very friendly neighbors. The dogs loved looking at the deer in the backyard. Only negative is one of our dogs got really spooked seeing a bear and would not walk that way again no matter how many treats we tried. Would stay here again"

"House is very clean and very beautiful check-in was very easy checkout was smooth location. The things was very reasonable, but listing does not inform about the sharp turn that ends in a steep gravel driveway up. You will need a 4 x 4 vehicle. And definitely do not show up in the dark. Tried to get up in my truck that doesn’t have four-wheel-drive and struggled."
