"We really enjoyed our stay at The Royal. The staff were really helpful and efficient. The food was excellent and really good value for money. We ate here for two nights as it was very good. The rooms were clean and we had a lovely view of the river and the shops were close by so a nice location. You could park so everything worked well. Thankyou to everyone who works here for a very nice break. We appreciated our time there."

"We had a room on the front of the hotel this time. We found it very noisy on the Sunday night as a homeless person was having an argument with someone on a bike. It went on for ages and I did hear Police sirens but it continued later. "

"Spacious accomodation with history and great feel. During the week you order breakfast from the Kitchen. On busy days (sunday) the breakfast is all laid out for a self help arrangement. Great Basement with games area. Pool, Snooker, Board games. Great area to walk to and enjoy a drink with friends. "

"Room was average outdated tv compared to the other double room. Had to ask for tea bags ect the next day as they didn't do turn down of the rooms. Internet went down for the stay so wifi wasnt working "

"Organised a surprise birthday party in the Abbott room-staff were excellent from start to finish. Good prices, food and service. Stayed two nights in a spacious room which was quiet at night considering the room overlooked Friar St. Had a wonderful weekend and will be back."
