I used it just so I could stay for the night. It did its job. The guy there was dead friendly and showed me around. they seem to be no hot water when I washed my hands did not ask our complaint as I was only there for the night and out all day. Good location.
Highly recommend to young and experienced travelers. We got in and they showed us to our comfortable room. The bathroom and the kitchen were upstairs. It worked for me as I was able to sleep ten hours through the night. It was great to meet friendly travelers and enjoy breakfast and snacks with them. With all the cereal and bread I imagine many nomads have caught up on lost meals.
Really great little hostel, wonderful customer service and super comfy room. The room itself was completely tidy but the shared bathrooms were not - one toilet had water all over the floor and often drops of pee around the outside, the other toilet couldn’t flush so it was just full of toilet paper and pee. Other than the bathroom situation, it’s lovely!
Very nice place to stay for a couple of days. My room was clean and very nice! The bed or madress needs changing though..feels like your tipping over to one side when your sleeping 😅 other than that. Very nice 👌 The aircondition did not work so the room would get hot. Thankfully you could open the window a tiny bit to get some air 👍 I had a hot water kettle for some tea but no microwave or fridge 😔 The people at the reception were super nice! They were hardly there sometimes 😅 saw people stand there waiting for help a couple of times. The location is great!! A bit of a walking distance from the city but quiet and a very relaxing location, even though next to the motorway. Will gladly stay here again!!
I stayed at the new hostel on King Street that replaced the old building very suddenly. As a result they are still in the process of setting it up but even so it is still welcoming and pleasant. They must've worked really hard to get it ready so quickly. My room and bed were excellent and I imagine nowhere else offers such great value in a major city centre on a Friday night. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were modern and clean and the kitchen offerings were very generous. I enjoyed my coco pops and numerous cups of tea while hungover from a music festival the night before. Check in and departure times and in line with modern habits and I was able to cross the road and get on a bus to continue my journey. Best of all was the guy in charge. He is brilliant and really cares about his guests. This place is excellent now but when it's completed it'll be outstanding. It will be my go to accommodation for events and festivals in or near Leeds city centre
Our host was really welcoming and allowed us to check in an hour early, which was great. The location is excellent.
However, our room (two single beds) was, to be honest, abysmal, even for the price. The carpets were full of ominous brown stains, there was no lamp or place for storage, hairs and stains on a thin and old bedding, and bugs. There was a bizarre noise of running water which sounded like a leak that could be heard constantly. The bathroom had no paper to dry hands, which was frustrating. I've never felt more excited for my own bed.
Terrible. Cancelled reservation 2days before checkin. Declined refund. Poor to zero comms.

Great value for money
Leeds City Centre for this price - exceptional. Yes, it's not the Ritz, but if certainly met my expectations in terms of warm welcome, good atmosphere, etc. Yes, some work to be done (lockers don't work), but for somewhere safe and clean to rest my head for a night - couldn't fault it. Fellow guests were friendly, mainly medical students who were polite and courteous. I also loved the 24 hour availability of tea/coffee/toast and cereal, allowing me to work late with sustenance. Definitely will stay again.
