Top Leach Pottery Museum Hotel Reviews
The cottage is minutes walk to 5 beaches and the harbour
8/10 Good
"Super location within vicinity of a fabulous seaside town, theatre, restaurants and 2 fine beaches (also only 15 min to a very wide breathtaking Hayle beach) , very quiet at night, local parking possible to a good degree on small side roads cosy with nice cottage character, old fire place, little small though, and for 4 (3 kids 1 adult) little challenging, kitchen with good standard, dish washer, washing machine, microwave etc.beds could do with some repairs, a new second more comfy sofa in the lounge f.ex. also would improve comfort"
The St Ives Bay Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great stay near to everything and for the money excellent value , nice views overlooking the bay , staff was friendly and helpful. So all in all excellent value from my stay in the bay hotel"
Sea Spray St Ives Stunning sea views 2 Bedroom duplex with parking Dog friendly
8/10 Good
"Nice quiet property, with parking which is a bonus. Good views over the see. Very steep hill from the beach, so anyone with mobility issues would need to be aware of this. Lots of nice walks from property."
The Nook
10/10 Excellent
"No one at the property for anything"
Stunning sea views, parking, central St Ives, 400m to beach. Sunny patio. Quiet.
10/10 Excellent
"Justine proved to be an excellent host responding promptly to all queries. The apartment is comfortably furnished ( rather than luxurious) and was spotlessly clean. Wifi is good. We did not use the cooker or TV so cannot comment on those. I have two caveats for older travellers: we are fit active with no health issues but we did find the walk up the hill a tad strenuous; there was no ‘popping back’ for a shower before dinner for eg. Yes there are taxis but these need pre booking. The other is that the over the bath shower is accessed via 2 steep steps. Again we managed ok but it could be a drawback for those with mobility issues. We did not bring our car but the parking space is a definite advantage!"
Tamsin's Loft - a 3 bed. house, sleeps 6, easy walk to beaches, harbour & shops
10/10 Excellent
"What a lovely loft!"
Little Nook
8/10 Good
"We recently stayed at The Nook for a few days and, overall, had a pleasant stay, although there are a few areas that could be improved. The apartment is quaint with an unusual but well-designed layout, and it felt spacious throughout. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, with great appliances, a large fridge freezer and a washing machine. The beds were extremely comfortable, the lounge was cosy, and having TVs with Netflix in both bedrooms was a lovely touch. The bathroom was also very nice, with a large bath, and aside from the toilet on arrival, the apartment was clean. The location is excellent and close to the beach. The garden is a fantastic size but felt rather neglected, and some seating would make it much more inviting. Finding the property was stressful as we were only given half the postcode, so clearer directions would be appreciated. The toilet flush was very weak, and there were stains in the toilet when we arrived. The shower had good pressure, but the shower head wouldn’t stay in position. The touchscreen keypad was also difficult to use, especially with the stiff front door. The Wi-Fi was patchy and only worked reliably in parts of the apartment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but felt it was a little expensive for the current standard and didn’t quite match the photos and description. With a few improvements, it could be a really lovely place to stay."
Mr Blue Sky - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 2 bedrooms
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Mr Blue Sky for nine nights. It was fabulous. Lovely accommodation, everything you need for your stay. The only downside is the location. It’s quite a long walk from the town and it’s very hilly. It’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues unless prepared to drive and try to park in the town or by the beach. St Ives is stunning and the beach is beautiful. We would book this accommodation again."
Pedn Olva
8/10 Good
"If I could give more stars for the location I would have, this place is stunning! Waking up in the morning and have breakfast by the sea is priceless. The hotel looks newly refurbished and it is at 3 minutes walk from the train station, very convenient location. The staff was also great, especially at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, I have got some food allergies and they took extra care which I really appreciated. However, despite doing their very best, they were short staffed and we could tell that they were quite stressed. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back and recommend to friends!"
