"Keepers Cottage is the perfect romantic getaway. It is tucked away in a quiet cove with an amazing view of the mountains. It is super clean, beautifully updated and Judy went above and beyond stocking everything you need. We really enjoyed the convenient location to Chimney Rock State Park, Chimney Rock Village and Lake Lure. There is also a fantastic grocery store and a fun challenging escape room all within a few minutes of the cottage.From Chimney Rock we were able to see the forever changed landscape of the lake and river below. We were able to walk a beautiful trail to the base of magnificent 400' Hickory Nut Falls and later eat at our favorite restaurant in Chimney Rock Village by the river. One day we ate in Lake Lure overlooking the continuous hard work recovering from the Helene destruction.It was the perfect place to celebrate our 46th anniversaryspending time together, enjoying God's creations and being inspired by the perseverance and resilience in the healing of this special place and it's people. "This awesome property is on the bottom level of a beautiful 3 story cabin just steps away from Lake Lure! The rental is very clean and spacious. The owners were very welcoming and provided us with restaurant and hiking ideas. We had access to the many outdoor spaces and enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning! "
