"One of the most warm, welcoming hotels we've stayed in. Beautiful house and even better staff. Their master bedroom has the most phenomenal view but the smaller bedrooms are very nice and cozy and have a similar view. Highly recommend the place. "
"Lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely place to stop staff very friendly and helpful and food was fantastic. The room very clean and tidy had a great view of the countryside and the sheep and horses in the field next door."
"Basic room but we had a balcony overlooking the river. We had a private room with our own bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Can't beat the location for the price. "
"The staff were so lovely, we travelled with my mum who is 91 years old and they were so great with our family. As i saw them like this with all the guests, will definitely stay again. "

"Nice hotel, we have stayed with the ICG previously and enjoyed it. This hotel was equally pleasant. Nice room and good breakfast. We were able to get some nice walks in from the doorstep, which is always good."
"We purposely booked the advertised 8 birth turned lodge as it clearly stated in the property details, this had a hot tub. Upon arrival and when given the keys we questioned why we hadn’t been given the lodge we paid for and the response was VRBO had just used a description and falsely advertised the lodge had a hot tub. The check-in clerk (elder lady) on site was rude and gave every excuse under the sun to not accommodate what we’d paid for and when we spoke to Hoseasons, they were all too familiar with the report that was being made, but also could not help. The lodge was far from clean and hygienic with blood, mould and other stains on the bedding and on the bedroom walls. The site took no responsibility for that either. A formal complain will be lodged for recompense for false advertisement and a lack of accountability. It absolutely ruined the purpose of our weekend away and we weren’t the only ones! "
"We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. As we got to the lodge the main entrance was covered in bird poo, that had definitely been left there a while, we did notice 3 nest right above the door which could not be help but it was obvious there had been no attempt to clean the poo, we went back to reception and showed them photos to which we were told "you could just use the other door" this is true but why should we, the main door is where you would leave bags and shoes, walking boots, it was an actual area for those things, not walking directly into the living/kitchen area. After explaining this they did send someone over who jet washed it away, it was completely clean but it was a big difference. Inside was mostly clean, expect the toilet in the main bathroom, the lid was already up so you could see there was lite skids on the seat unsure if it was stained i wiped it but in horror it came off easy which made mr think they hadnt been cleaned at all, which is disgusting, after further inspection i found under the seat was dirty and the actual base. Everywhere else did look ok though, not spotless but nothing worth making a fuss over. There are positives, the views from the lodge (45) where amazing, it was so peaceful and quiet, it had everything you needed in the kitchen, the tv was abit hit and miss with signal the sane with th"
