We went to a concert at the Golden Nugget and enjoyed dinner at Grotto. We went to Salt Revival Oyster Company for lunch the next day and it was excellent. Everything was close and easy to navigate to from the hotel.

I think its a great area to move whether you are single or have a family. There are lots of choices for recreation and the food options are plentiful. Not to mention you are minutes from the casinos and the highways.

A kind of sad place with some nice old homes and a lot of industrial things happening around the Lake which distracts from any type of beauty. A strange kind of place.

The stoplights don't stay green for long! We liked the visitor center and the Creole Nature center. We enjoyed taking a short one hour trip to Holly Beach.

"Fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel and resort! We only stayed for two days but they were the most peaceful days we have had in a while. We ate breakfast at one of the restaurants on the property and it was delicious! The staff and facilities were top notch! We will be coming back!"
"Currently they are remodeling the hotel working on 3rd floor during our stay. Only problem is the entrance to the hotel have rebars sticking up in street which punched a hole in our tire"
