Casa de Campo Resort and Villas

10/10 Excellent

"We had the most memorable experience with friends and family. The resort is massive and very easy to get around. The grounds are very well cared for and tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We felt very cared for throughout our stay. I’d say exceptional customer service and impeccable quality of food. We had exceptional dining experience each evening. I’d give 5 stars on all accounts. We look forward to returning."

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"The place is large and most attractions are located with a brief walk which is better than others. The food in the buffet is very good. The beach is very nice, but has rough rocks under the surf and requires water shoes - this is important. At night, the place it very beautiful with lighting and the activities are a delight. It is family place and the cheerful vibe is simply the best, I must say, of about any other similar resort I have been. They do a good job of maintaining the "family atmosphere". Things to be aware of: The some of the staff do not explain the property well--for example where large attractions are located (restaurants, beach and pool) - believe it or not. They sell you a Sunscape upgrade which they say is needed making this not really all inclusive, and do not explain what is included very well - they give a photocopy list. We missed out on some things even after asking several questions in their "Sunscape" center. There is no map of the property. It took until 3:30 for them to find a room which was requested over 24 hours before check-in, The room provided was a disaster - period and should not have been offered in the first place. An upgrade was provided which was VERY nice and only costs a little more. The snack bar and reception area food was not fresh with hot foods were at room temp. Overall, if you educate yourself about what is here and how things work before coming here, you can have a great time."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to La Estancia?

The best time to visit La Estancia is during the dry season, which runs from December to May, offering warm weather and minimal rainfall.

During these months, you can expect plenty of sunshine, with average temperatures comfortably in the high 20s Celsius. This period is ideal for enjoying the outdoor activities La Estancia is known for, such as golf on its championship courses or relaxing by the pool. The lower humidity also makes for a more pleasant experience overall.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this time perfect. The consistent good weather allows for uninterrupted days of leisure, whether it's enjoying a round of golf, taking a leisurely stroll around the resort grounds, or dining al fresco. The evenings are also pleasant, making it comfortable to enjoy sunset views.

Families planning a holiday will also appreciate the dry season. The reliable sunshine means children can spend more time swimming, playing outdoors, and participating in resort activities without the interruption of rain.
