Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Kurono?
The best time to visit Kurono, Gifu Prefecture, is during spring (April to early May) and autumn (October to November) for pleasant weather and beautiful scenery.

Spring in Kurono is particularly lovely when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The city and surrounding areas, like the banks of the Nagara River, are adorned with pink and white flowers, creating picturesque views. Temperatures are mild, making it ideal for exploring outdoor attractions such as Kurono Castle ruins or walking through the old town. This period is great for couples or solo travellers who appreciate natural beauty and historic sites without the intense heat of summer.

Autumn also offers comfortable temperatures and stunning natural displays as the leaves change colour, especially in the mountainous regions surrounding Kurono. The vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows provide a striking backdrop for hiking or visiting temples and shrines.
