The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali

"Large hotel right on the beach, although the beach is not where you want to hang out: they have several pools with many loungers that are convenient, with buttons to summon waitstaff to bring you drinks or food so this makes it very easy to relax and just hang out. Some rooms (our first visit) have patios with direct access to a 3 foot pool outside. Interestingly the rooms in the front of the hotel have access to a different smaller pool from their patios. Two restaurants: breakfast buffet is good in both restaurants and you are sent to one restaurant versus the other depending upon where in the complex you stay. I think it’s better to stay in the side of the hotel that’s open to the beach and that would be my preference if I rebook. I got really sick after eating the Indonesian food in the Indonesian restaurant, but that might’ve been just me."

The hotel is literally next to the airport, so you don't want to pay 150,000 IDR for a 1.2 km ride. So the shuttle service makes sense. Has everything you need for a comfortable stopover, don't expect too much given what you pay :)"
