We stayed in the Japanese style Tatami room - it was m partner's favourite accomodation in Japan. It was spacious, with three rooms. It was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The owner warmly welcomed us upon check-in and then left us to our adventures (which is our preference). Would definitely stay here again.
Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the fujiyama base. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. It was just a couple of minutes from the train station so that was a big plus. Would consider staying there again if we were in the area.
The property is old and not that clean at Japanese standard. Meanwhile, the air conditioner made so much noise. But it’s a good experience with tatami and the property is closed to the train station and Q highland.

Disliked: Room comfort
Not terrible, but not good.
This place was... OK. It was spacious, in a good location close to station and there were a lot of beds. Other than that, we weren't super happy. The heater BARELY worked and we froze all night long. Then as we were packing up our stuff the next day, we realized there were heated blankets in each bed. Had no clue! Maybe the people running this place should let people know so they don't freeze all night.
Also, it was unnerving because there was a sign on the wall saying that if you used two appliances at once, the power would shut off. We were so scared that our little terrible heater would get shut off that we didn't dare use anything and risk the power going off and then having no way to get it turned back on in the middle of the cold night.
Toilet was good, but you had to walk through the backdoor, leave the house, and go to an outhouse type room. Pretty sure the toilet was shared with the building or something like that.
We probably wouldn't stay here again, but this could totally be some people's thing, it just wasn't ours.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Clean room, enough space, quick response from staff
Run by the sweet lady in the shop on the 1st floor. She's very friendly when you take the chance to talk to her and don't let the language barrier get in the way. If you treat her kindly and with respect she will treat you like family, me and my girlfriend exchanged gifts and photos with her and made memories, she even told us to come back and see her again sometime when back in Japan. Felt like we got adopted a little.
Hotel is pretty much across the street from the bus and train station, also close to a lot of food places that are open late, I recommend Gakidaisho Ramen about 2-3 blocks away.
