Great run pub and rooms. Very friendly staff. Yes, it's a pub so noisy up until 11.30 on Saturday, but after that quiet in the room. The Breakfast ( included in the room rate) was excellent and freshly prepared to order.

Lovely welcoming staff. Private carpark. Lovely pub. Really good breakfast. Our room room (9) was small and it was a very hot day/night so room was hot but there is a fan. Shower wasn't very powerful but overall adeqate for our 2 night stay. Nice bedding and fluffy towels. Great location for the town centre.

Great service from the staff.Good location for restaurants etc. Only issue was car parking as a road was closed and couldn't access it but it was a bank holiday. Staff give you a permit which I hope worked and we don't get a fine!

Business trip

My stay would have been excellent but for a really minor thing - the water pressure for the shower was quite low and I really need my early morning shower to wake me up. Other than this, the Rose and Crown was excellent from start to finish and I will definitely look to stay there again.

Absolutely incredible place, first time in Knutsford and I think we chose the best place. Staff are so pleasant and make you feel comfortable in the surroundings. Will be coming again for longer

Expected better based on the pictures and the £100 a night cost. Pretty basic. Staff were fixed, some very friendly, others, bar staff in particular very rude. Pictures at point of booking seem misleading

First impressions are really good but our stay was ruined by water leaking through the ceiling in the fitted wardrobe causing constant dripping noise throughout the night keeping us awake on inspection the wardrobe was full of cobwebs and had a damp stained wall and water damage which tells me this has been happening long term. When reported no discount given were apologetic but did say hope to see you again but understand if we don’t not great customer service. On a plus the breakfast was quite good location good but what could be a really great place to stay is let down by poor preventative maintenance on the whole a great location nice bar restaurant area

If your looking for a freezing experience book now

I don’t often write bad reviews but I felt the need for management to act upon our recent experience 3rd January. We arrived during the U.K. cold freeze with weather temperatures below minus. We arrived at the room at 4pm to a freezing cold room colder than outside. I explained to the gentlemen on the reception due to health conditions I could not be subdued to such cold temperatures and explained when turning on the radiator no heat prevailed. He advised it was on a timer and would not come on till 6pm so I had to shower and get ready in a stone cold room. I explained we were staying as flying from Manchester airport and would be catching an early flight and leaving at 3am and he said sorry the heating would not come on until 5am the following morning, I said this would not help my situation. I asked if he could provide another oil heater as the one we had barely gave out much heat and he said he would ask. He did not follow up on this and we were left with no choice but too again get ready in a freezing cold room at 3am saturday morning. In past experience I arrived to a warm room not a hotel that saved fuel and compromised their guests. Further to this there were hairs in the shower and out of 5 I would give the cleanliness 2 stars. The noise from the bar kept us awake all night! I would not recommend and the start of our holiday did nowhere meet our expectations. Luckily for us the rest of our holiday had far exceeded expectations.

Had a fantastic one night stay here. Couldn’t fault anything about the property or the staff. The only thing was the aircraft noise however that didn’t stop me and my partner having a good nights sleep. Will definitely return.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from restful. The biggest issue was the constant noise—planes were landing or taking off every 5 minutes throughout the night, only letting up between 1am and 5am. To make matters worse, there was a loud extractor fan just outside my bedroom window that turned on and off all night, and I could even hear the person snoring in the room next door due to poor sound insulation. Cleanliness and maintenance also left a lot to be desired. There was a spider infestation in the bathroom, the headboard I used to charge my phone was really dusty, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The car park was also difficult to locate, could really do with improving signage. On a more positive note, the food was really good. Apart from the chicken for the main course being pink, the scallp scallop starter was absolutely delicious, and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff were amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to stay in unless some major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and noise control. The pub / restaurant I would highly recommend though : )
