I think they are trying for “quaint” but not hitting the mark..TV did not work…came and reset it, internet did not work…was told to “walk down a few rooms to hook up”, only one of 3 light bulbs in bathroom work, blinds not fit to windows correctly, so shut off lights to undress, refrig in the closet?- froze everything by morning, wall AC had a sign to not put below 70 degrees or it would stop working.k, Cheap enough but like they say…you get what you pay for. The reviews lied…. I guess people who did reviews wants you to be ?? Surprised?. As they were…good luck

It was a well-kept room, and it was clean. The shower pressure was below sub-par. I had to wait to wash my hair until I got back home.

Thank you for your review. Upon investigation we discovered that the shower head was broken and needed replacing. A new shower head has been installed and the situation has been fixed. Please don't hesitate to let us know of any problems. This could have been fixed quickly allowing you to enjoy the rest of your stay

Exceptional stay at Reviewview Lodge in Kernville! The lodge's ambiance and cleanliness were impressive, but what truly set it apart was the outstanding service, with a special shout-out to Jessie. It was a fun & unique stay. They room had an old-school setup, but really good energy. The little messages that were placed in frames in the room really resonated with my trip and worked as serendipities on my journey. Thank you for adding extra magic, and feeling of flow and ease. If you're looking for a place to disconnect in the middle of nowhere, this place is perfect for that. Ask locals where the hotsprings are. That was another great experience connecting to the nature.

This place looks like it needs to be condemned. The stairs are rickety, broken sidewalks. The room was dirty. It’s located next to a concert venue that played music until 10:00 pm

Rustic Stay
Older, rustic hotel that is quaint but dated. No view of anything from my room. What appeared to be long term residents and their pets sitting on couches out in front of the room and smoking cigarettes and other stuff in their PJs. Used 5 gallon paint buckets in the hallway and a few pieces of trash lying around. Went to the office, never did have contact with the owners or anybody that worked there. Location is convenient to services but the town is not that big.

Enjoyed my stay . Liked the rustic appeal. The trash near the riverside is an eyesore and smells. Perhaps a stronger effort to keep the “beach” area pristine would be appreciated by your patrons. Everything else was very enjoyable. I would return if opportunity to do so.

The lodge was cute, small and quaint. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. It is great for older adults looking for some peace and quiet by the river. I was with my kids, and the property supposedly had wifi, but nothing would connect. There was no reception and even the tv didnt work... it just wouldnt connect and load. The toilet handle fell off the toilet, but the owner came in and easily fixed it. The sink water spout, in the bathroom shot out water when we turned it on. So we turned it on low which was a little more difficult when we washed our hands and brushed our teeth. The room was cute and nicely decorated, but the lighting was very dim, and it was hard to see. The lamp was broken by the beds and we couldnt turn it on. It was an enjoyable stay, as we just came back to sleep. It was quiet and a nice little place despite some of the problems. We fell in love with the lodge cat and the location is very convenient.

Good sized room, mini fridge good sized plus microwave in room. Staff made coffee special for me and my friend since we had to get on the road at 5:00 a.m. the next day. This place is not luxurious but I am not seeking luxury, just clean, quiet, and spacious room with comfortable bed to spend the night in a river town.

The location of this place could not be better. You are steps from the river. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it was clean enough and exactly what we were looking for. I have no idea how the staff is because it was a contactless check in and check out, which is fine with us.

Booked this stay last minute. We have stayed in Kernville many of times however never had stayed at the Riverview Lodge. It was cute, clean and very convenient! We had our own beach front river access! At night the owners even lit a fire for us! Very pleased!! The staff was very easy going, helpful and kind! We will stay here again!!!

The motel was clean and hospitable, the owners were very nice and helpful. The rooms are basic, yet quaint. The location is perfect as it is in the center of town with easy access to restaurants, activities, and the river.
