"Nice friendly helpful staff, not the best view from our lodge it was sugar cane field and a petrol station. Sofa beds aren’t great it was like sleeping on the floor. "

"Lourie's Call is located in a lovely part of town that provides easy access to town and still feels like it is secluded and away from the town center. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the staff is very helpful. This is our regular stop over to Kruger Park. "

The owner of the ‘hotel’ even wanted to charge the guys R4k for a room with a double bed and a sleeper couch as, according to him, there were only 2 rooms available. "

"The location is wonderful with game regularly visiting the river from the Kruger opposite. When we arrived, about a dozen elephant were wading across and hippo were wallowing. The rooms each have their own private terraces where fires are lit each night, and open up into a lovely common area where birds and the 3 incumbent nyala are encouraged. Meals are served on your terrace, ask if you want tea or coffee delivered with breakfast rather than make your own from the room tray. Rooms are comfortable, it's about 15min drive to Melelane gate."
