" A charming Japanese Ryokan with the best view of the famous Miyajima Torii. You can walk to it within 5 minutes during the off hours when the tourists are gone.
We loved their 10-course Kaiseki Dinner and their Japanese breakfast.
Their shuttle van picks you up at the ferry terminal. You should book your private 30-minute onsen when you check in.

"Habitaciones muy limpias. El hotel tiene un spa tradicional muy bueno y las vistas al mar desde el hotel son espectaculares.
Es un lugar muy tranquilo donde relajarse y lo mejor de todo es la amabilidad de su personal."

"There is plenty of room here for a family of 7 to be comfortable. We enjoyed walking down to the bay and it's very close to the Jinko station. There isn't much for food nearby, but the street car runs often and they have a menu of conbini type foods that you can purchase there. Lots of Manga to read, several TVs to watch in the common area, a little play area for young kids, plentyof seating for eating meals, easy to clean up after yourself, showers were never crowded. I would definitely...

"This was the best hotel experience of our Japan trip. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The location was perfect for an overnight visit to Itsukushima. The food at the hotel was exquisite, and the ocean view from our room was beautiful."
"This property is a beautiful location - walk to the ropeway, shops, beach and all else in Miya-jima;
We had a huge room because one in our party cancelled last minute; we had a large family suite which could probably sleep 6;
A living room area was nice to relax; on the balcony, a private hot tub, cold plunge and sauna completed the private spa; a public hot springs bath also on site - very private; no fitness center;
Our room was brand new and spotless;
It was very pricy, but was like having a full apartment; you might also get a smaller room with a view for cost savings;
I recommend including breakfast and dinner in your reservation as many restaurants in town are fully booked;
There is a lovely coffee/snack room overlooking the beautiful gardens;
Bring Google Translate and you will do well communicating;
We used the luggage forwarding service and traveled very light to return to the ferry, JR train to our next destination; if you’ve not used before, highly recommend.
Georgous property and room!"
"Great room, amazing Japanese Ryokan. The room included dinner—a typical Japanese meal that was fabulous—and breakfast, walking distance to the floating Tori gate, and a fantastic rooftop viewing area with free drinks."
"absolutely loved my stay, from the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The location is perfect — tucked into the trees near Momijidani Park, with a peaceful stream running right outside.
Everything about Iwaso felt authentic and special. If you want a true taste of traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the place to stay."
A farm surrounded by the primeval forest on the goddess island of Miyajima
10/10 Excellent
"This was a perfect experience. It is so peaceful and beautiful on Kenji’s farm. The room was so warm and cozy, the property was very clean and well kept, and it was a PRIVILEGE to stay. Kenji was a great host, picking you up and dropping you off, answering questions and showing you the ropes of the house. You have to bring your own dinner because it’s a 45 minute drive up the mountains of miyajima but we cooked some ramen and fried up potatoes and onions from Kenjis farm! He has a small Japanese bath on site overlooking the farm which was delightful and perfect for an early morning hot bath. Remember - if you don’t have towels you will pay 300 yen to borrow very small but very absorbent towels. PLEASE come here!!! It was the highlight of our trip, truly an oasis and it gives you plenty of time to explore miyajima! Okay we’ll stop gushing now - just go! "
