Great staff, need a lar carte dining at night
Very nice hotel, although can be very windy at the top of the hill. Excellent service, very friendly. Rooms cosy, not spacious. Breakfast good, buffet dinner not great

The staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. A lovely welcome drink of fresh juice. Amazing views from the dining room and pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and international. If you are driving, the hotel is at the top of a hill and the roads are challenging. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The property was beautiful. We had the suite which was extremely spacious and really well appointed. The infinity pool was very nice and relaxing. The food was really good as well. The staff very attentive. I think the only drawback to the hotel is that although the view beautiful at the top of the mountain, it is quite difficult and takes time to get up there so it is not convenient if you want to go back and forth from the city below. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.

Fox Kandy was well set up. There were a few villas but they were cleverly positioned, so it felt like only an exclusive place. We were given a great room with a glass shower leading to the bedroom. Wide variety of food, excellent staff. The pool was amazing- infinity pool in the clouds. Only con; suprisingly- a lot of bugs here, which is nice if you like nature. I loved Fox Kandy and would stay here again.

Friendly Staff
Very friendly, going all the way to make your stay a pleasant one. I got stomach issues after my first night and told the restaurant staff. I received a call when I got to my room to ask whether I need anything as they heard I got sick. They offered to make me a breakfast/ lunch box for the next day as I had a 5-hr drive that day. A couple it improvements: please offer organic juices and not from a package, which is loaded with sugar. The AC is placed in front of the bed and it was uncomfortable feeling the cold wind blowing directly on me. I turned it off during my entire stay. The bathroom is quite small while the bedroom is spacious. The sink is large but there is no vanity space to put your toiletries on. When it’s windy, which this isn’t something the property can control, the pool is too cold to swim. Expect a day to be spent inside your room bc of the cool temps. If you heat up the pool, that would be a great perk! Also, after dinner, there is nothing to do than to go back to your room. Think of offering a 60-minute cultural performance: dance or music. Offer some entertainment as there is literally noting than a cold pool in which no one swims.

We had a lovely stay here, fabulous views and very friendly staff. Food was typical Sri Lankan, good standard and the curry’s were a delight. Perfect location away from the very busy kandy city. Room was spacious and had great. views of the mountains and we saw a beautiful sunset. A great choice. if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

Up in the hills overlooking Kandy, the Fox offered a calm escape from the crazy city below! The setting is wonderful with expansive views from a beautiful infinity pool. Staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a lazy afternoon by the pool, there is a nice garden areas with loungers and umbrellas. Our ground floor room was adequate with views into the trees though the 1st floor would afford better. The restaurant had a buffet for dinner which we actually had both nights as there was a great selection and the. Sri Lankan options in particular were delicious! Good choice again for breakfast. Due to the location a tuk tuk is needed to get around, there is nothing walkable.

High above Kandy
A unique hotel very high above Kandy. The compound and rooms are pleasant, and the food at breakfast and dinner were tasty. It is quite a steep, long drive up the hill, so don’t book this hotel if you need to make multiple trips into the city each day.

Shiny new hotel with amazing views.
A very good hotel, brand new. The location is perfect right in the hills away from the town, you will need to have transport to get to town that can be easily arranged and cheap. Great pool, lovely gardens

First of all, congratulations and well done to all the Fox resort Kandy. If you want to stay at a truly beautiful and pristine hotel in Kandy then Fox resort will certainly fit the bill. Perched on top of Richmond hill about 10 - 15 mins or so Tuk Tuk / taxi ride from hustle of the city (we paid between 600 - 800 LKR for most journeys in and out of the city). However to be fair Fox resort is so tranquil and welcoming you'll probably want to maximise your stay their by staying put and enjoying the scenery and hospitality of the hotel. The hotel is new and its clear they are out to impress. We were greeted on arrival with cooling face towels and a fresh chilled drink. Throughout the stay all staff were welcoming and attentive, befitting of a true 5 star hotel. The accommodation was of a very good standard with marvellous views and a lovely cooling wind. I had one minor issue with one meal which was quickly resolved, again impressed with the way they handled our whole 5 star experience. Once again well done to all at Fox resort.

A place of rest and recovering
Had four great nights in this hotel. Been in Sri Lanka for over 15 years but this was my first visit here. It’s a place of rest and recovering. The staff was actually one of the best I ever had. I guess the manager doing a great work with his team. For sure I will comeback again.

Very nice quiet place (except for the occasional barking dog at night) on a hilltop outside Kandy. The road up was a bit challenging for our guide's car, but it managed eventually. Super friendly staff and VERY cheap laundry service. Also a nice restaurant with a good selection and a nice little pool area.
