Adelphi - Best Views In Town Views - Older Style Home

LOCATION LOCATION! And views - some of the best in Kaikoura!
With just minutes walk to the town. This lovely older house has huge character with gardens and parking off street. It doesn't have all the mod cons, eg no wifi, no dishwasher but fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

Perfect budget bach for family and friends to get together. Keep an eye out for dolphins and orca whales.

This tidy quirky cottage is charming and great space to enjoy Kaikoura.

Unfortunately no children under the age of 5 due to the stairs to the 2nd floor which are very steep. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms - one with a single bed and the other with two single beds. The main bedroom is located downstairs.

Please arrive after 2pm and depart by 10am, unless otherwise arranged with KKHH

Things to do in Kaikoura from fishing, swimming, diving, mountain biking trails, horse riding, hiking, kayaking, surfing, skiing and cafe culture - the list is endless! Come and meet the land where the sea meets the mountains.

With whale watching, dolphin swimming and numerous other activities for the out door enthusiast.

If property had been cleaned and beds made, lt would have been good value. Property managers gave upgraded accomodation at no extra cost.

Place was very basic but comfortable
The upstairs rooms are small and the steps up very steep, much care required. The garden needed attention and the leaking taps....but the view is amazing!

Junky house with a great view and location
If you care about cleanliness and functionality, this is probably not a good place for your stay. If your priorities are price, view and location, you will be happy. The house seems like it needs someone to care about it and come clear the spider webs and clean the grease off of things. The toilet is separate from the sink and shower by 2 rooms and in essentially added into the garage in a dark room with a concrete floor that is “padded” by 3 worn out plastic exterior floor mats. There were 2 empty rolls of toilet paper on the floor in the bathroom when we arrived and only 1 roll of TP to last us through our stay. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are up a steep ladder in the garage and get very hot. We ended up not using them because no one wanted to navigate the ladder at night so we had our son stay downstairs with us. The pans were dirty and had to be washed before use and the stove was filthy and one of the burners didn’t work. We booked this place last minute when there were no other places to stay otherwise we would have chosen differently. That said, the location and view are excellent. We did notice some noise from on of the restaurants on Saturday night but with the windows closed we couldn’t hear it. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this place was pretty junky.

Great location close to town
Clean and tidy in a good central location with just a short walk to the main street. Well maintained older house with off street parking, garaging and a decent size section. Good value for money in this part of town with fantastic sea views.

The best features of this propertyare the view and the garden to relax in. The lounge and bedroom are fine and the bed is comfortable. Wi-Fi is available at the local library. It was let down emails complaing about previous visitors.

Great Kiwi Bach experience
If you know what to expect you will really enjoy this place. Spectacular views, quirky Kiwi style Bach. Kitchen old , from a bygone era, but operational. Make sure you get linen service. Downstairs Master Queen bed comfortable. Up the stairs, well more like a ladder reallly, there are 3 single beds. Only one toilet off the laundry. Very well situated just above the town, with great walking paths to foreshore. Good value for money.
