"Jay Mountain Retreat is a hidden gem. It is a large property surrounded by wilderness offering a relaxing getaway with all the modern amenities. While we were there in winter, for the World Cup at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, it would be fabulous in any season for hiking, fishing or just enjoying nature. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and made sure the driveway was plowed in a timely fashion. There are two delicious restaurants at the bottom of the mountain and Keene has a few more options to offer. We recommend this VRBO and friends just rented in April. We hope to return sometime."

"The Jay house was fantastic!!! Fit our family perfectly. The hosts made sure their guests were welcomed in every way. The house was very clean and provided adequate towels and amenities for its guests. The hosts were also readily available with any questions that arose. The back view of the property was beautiful, especially if you're lucky enough to be there during a snowstorm. There is a Bluetooth music sound system that can be played throughout the house, an added bonus while cooking in the open kitchen! So close to Whiteface and Lake Placid. Will definitely be staying at the Jay house in the future! "

A babbling river, a sauna and firepit was enough to stay just at the property and it was easy to entertain my 20-month-old grandson.
